Microsoft Dynamics Advanced Task Mapping: LinkedIn Tasks

Objective

The purpose of this article is to provide direction to Outreach Admins in configuring Advanced Task Mapping for LinkedIn Tasks within their Microsoft Dynamics plugin.

Before You Begin

  • The CRM Sync experience listed here includes both the Classic Plugin experience and the new Enhanced CRM Sync Experience.

Admin Requirements

  • Created the Outreach Task Type custom field in Dynamics. 
  • Added the following value types to Dynamics: 
    • linkedin_view_profile
    • linkedin_send_connection_request
    • linkedin_send_message
    • linkedin_interact_with_post
    • linkedin_other
  • Confirmed field-level security is set to visible and is visible for all Dynamics profiles. 

Procedure

  1. Access the Outreach Platform.
  2. Access the Dynamics Integration.
  3. Click the Task object in the CRM landing page.
  4. Add a Condition for Outbound Create: State = Not Started.
  5. Click Save
  6. Map Fields: Action<>Outreach Task Type.
  7. Click to enable Updates In Dynamics
  8. Map Fields: Custom Template<>Subject
  9. Click the Advanced Options ellipses to the right of the fields and select Template Settings.
  10. In the Custom Template dialog box, input desired text including the {{task_type_name}} string. 
  11. Click Save.
