Applies To

  • Outreach Users

Deleting a Sequence

Important Note: Deleting a sequence removes it permanently from Outreach, and this action cannot be undone. If you only want to remove the sequence from view without deleting it, consider archiving it instead.

Steps to Delete a Sequence:

  1. Log into the Outreach Platform.
  2. Click on the Sequence icon (represented by a paper plane) in the navigation sidebar.
  3. In the Sequence List View, find the sequence you want to delete.
  4. Click on the More Options (three dots) next to the sequence.
  5. Select Delete from the dropdown menu.
  6. Carefully review the confirmation popup, as this action cannot be undone.
  7. Once confirmed, click Confirm to permanently delete the sequence.

Deleting a Ruleset

If a ruleset is linked to an active sequence, it cannot be deleted until it's disassociated from that sequence.

Steps to Delete a Ruleset:

  1. Access the Outreach Platform.
  2. Click Administration > Workflow Automations.
  3. Click Rulesets.
  4. Locate the ruleset you wish to delete and click on the More Options (three dots).
  5. Select Delete.

Additional Information:
If you receive an error indicating that the ruleset is currently in use, filter the Sequence list view by the ruleset name to identify the sequences using it. You may need to deactivate or update these sequences before deleting the ruleset.

Archiving Sequences:

If you're not ready to permanently delete a sequence, you can archive it instead. Archiving removes the sequence from the Sequence Overview page but allows you to restore it later if needed.
