Purpose:
The purpose of this article is to provide direction to Outreach Admins in mapping Lead statuses in Outreach for Microsoft Dynamics.
Intended Audience:
- Outreach Admins
Notes:
- Admin Governance is required to complete this process.
- The CRM Sync experience listed here includes both the Classic Plugin experience and the new Enhanced CRM Sync Experience.
- Outbound Create and Outbound Update for Lead Status <> Stage are not available for Microsoft Dynamics.
Procedure
Classic Plugin
- Access the Outreach Platform.
- Access the Plugin Settings.
- Click the Status object in the Types list.
- Click to enable the Inbound Create and Inbound Update options.
- Click Poll.
- Click the Mappings tab and confirm the values are mapped as applicable.
- Click Save.
If the mapping for Stage <> Status Reason is not present under Lead<>Prospects mapping, follow the instructions below to create the mapping.
- Click the Dynamics link in the navigation bar.
- Click the Leads object.
- On the Leads object settings page, click Fields.
- Click Add and map Stage to Status Reason.
- Click the advanced options dropdown arrow to the right of the added field and select Advanced.
- Click to select Mapping Field and select Status from the External Mapped Type: dropdown menu.
- Click Done.
- Click Save.
As updates are made to the Lead statuses, the changes will be reflected in both Outreach and Dynamics.
Enhanced CRM Sync
- Access the Outreach Platform.
- Access the CRM Settings.
- Click the Status object in the list.
- Click the Outreach Create and Outreach Update checkboxes to enable syncing into Outreach.
- Click Save.
- Click Poll.
- Click the Record Mappings tab and confirm the values are mapped as applicable.
If the mapping for Stage <> Status Reason is not present under Lead<>Prospects mapping, follow the instructions below to create the mapping.
- Select the Leads object.
- On the Leads object settings page, navigate to Set field mapping.
- Click Add mapping and map Stage to Status Reason.
- Click three dots to the right of the field mapping and select Advanced settings.
- Click to enable the Mapped Field toggle and select Status from the dropdown menu.
- Click Done.
- Click Save.
As updates are made to the Lead statuses, the changes will be reflected in both Outreach and Dynamics.
