Prospects that are opted out of emails, calls, and/or SMS-texting

Answer
Yes, prospects can still be added to a sequence if they are opted out.
Prospects that have opted out can be added to sequences where the sequence does not contain a step for the communication type they have opted out of.
For example: If a prospect is opted out of only emails, they can still be added to a Call Only sequence. However, they cannot be added to a sequence that contains an Automatic email or Manual email step in it, even if there are Call steps in that same sequence.
However, if the ruleset allows it, then if the prospect opts out of only emails, users will be able to add them to sequences with multiple different steps. They will skip email steps but they will pass to non-email steps like for example call or LinkedIn task.
If the sequence has email-only steps, and the ruleset does not allow prospects who have opted out to be added into the sequence, the prospect will fail when adding to the sequence.
