Outreach & Salesforce Lightning: Click to Email

Purpose:

The purpose of this article is provide direction to Outreach Users in emailing using click to email. 

Many teams use Outreach from within Salesforce. With the Outreach Everywhere Chrome Extension, it's simple to email your Leads or Contacts right from your workflow.

Emailing in Salesforce Lightning

Click to Email with Outreach

1. From the list view, or from the lead/contact profile in Salesforce, click on the Outreach envelope symbol located next to the individual’s email address.
2. A new compose window will open in the Outreach Extension side panel where you can create and format the email to your prospect.
3. If the lead does not yet exist in Outreach, you can select the “track-as-a-prospect” option, which appears at the bottom of the compose window next to the click tracking option. With this enabled, Outreach will create a new prospect profile with the associated email address.
4. Based on your plugin settings, Outreach will map the appropriate Salesforce lead/contact to the corresponding email address and, based on your plugin settings, the email activity will be synced with Salesforce.
