Outreach Email Outbox State Overview

Objective

The purpose of this article is to provide information to Outreach Users regarding the Email outbox  states.

Notes:

Outreach Email Outbox states are different from the Sequence Stages and Sequence states. While sequence stages/states depend on how the prospect proceeds in a sequence, the Email Outbox states depend solely on the status of the email scheduled via Outreach including all one-off emails and sequenced emails. 

Email Outbox States Overview: 

Outreach provides Users the ability to identify the status of the emails scheduled via Outreach by classifying the email status into a state. 

Accessing Email Outbox States for a Specific User

Outreach provides Users to access the status of all their emails sent via Outreach on one page, similar to how the mailboxes appear with native email providers(e.g. Gmail, Outlook). 

  1. Access the Outreach Platform. 
  2. Click the Activity icon (Zigzag line) in the navigation sidebar. 
  3. Click "Email Outbox" from the dropdown menu
  4. Sort, filter, or search to locate a particular user or chose, "Sender is You".
  5. Click each tab on the header to view emails in each state.

Email Outbox States are classified as described in the table below:

Email Outbox State Description
Total 

This includes the total emails owned by the user(s). 

 

Drafted

This state will filter all emails in the outbox (owned by the user(s).) which are created but not scheduled yet.

 

Scheduled

This state will filter all emails which are due to be sent at a specific date/time.

 

Delivering

This state will filter and display all emails which are delivering in real time.

 

Delivered

This state will show all emails which have been delivered till date.

 

Unopened

Based on the email tracking, this state will filter all emails that have been delivered successfully but the recipient has not yet opened.

 

Opened

Based on the email tracking, this state will filter all emails that have been delivered successfully and the recipient has opened these emails.

 

Clicked

Based on the email tracking, this state will filter all emails that have been delivered successfully and the recipient has clicked one or more links included in these emails.

 

Replied

This state will filter all emails that have already been replied by the recipient.

 

Failed

This state will filter all emails which fail to deliver due to any reason.

 

Bounced

This state will filter all emails which have been bounced by the recipient's mailbox and hence they fail to deliver.

 

Opted out

This state will filter all emails which were attempted to be sent to prospects who are marked as opted out of email communications. Thus, these emails fail to deliver and classified under "Opted out" state.
