Remapping Individual Outreach Records

Objective

This article will teach you how to remap an Outreach record with another record in Salesforce.

Applies To

  • Accounts
  • Prospects

Procedure

  1. Navigate to the record you would like to remap.
  2. Hover over the record’s side panel with information about the record.
    • To access the side panel for Opportunity records, first click into the “Activity” tab along the top
  3. Scroll down to the Salesforce information area in the bottom right-hand corner.
  4. Click the X icon that appears next to the name of your CRM plugin.
    1. Click 'Yes' in Remove Mapping dialog, if the record is already mapped to an incorrect record in your CRM
  5. Hover over the same area, but this time click the cloud icon.
  6. In the 'Action' drop down, choose 'Find corresponding object without changing data' and click the 'Sync' option.
  7. Outreach will try to identify the appropriate corresponding object in Salesforce as defined below:
      • Prospects - Outreach searches for a Lead or Contact with a matching email address
      • Accounts - Outreach searches for an Account with the same name
      • Opportunities - Outreach searches for an Opportunity with the same name
